Return and Warranty Policy

At Metal Card, we are dedicated to providing premium customized metal cards and ensuring a smooth, satisfying customer experience. The following policy outlines your rights in relation to returns, refunds, and warranties. This document is designed in line with UK consumer laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


1. Customised Metal Cards

Non-Cancellable & Non-Refundable Orders
Due to the personalised nature of customised bank cards, all orders become non-refundable once submitted for production.

Damaged or Defective Products
If your order arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing fault, you may request a refund or replacement within 14 days of receipt. Proof of the issue, including photographs and a description of the fault, must be provided. If your claim is accepted, Swipemetal will cover the return shipping costs.

Incorrect Items Received
In case you receive a product that does not match your order (e.g. incorrect design or engraving), please notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will offer an exchange or full refund where appropriate.


2. Warranty Coverage

15-Day Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty
Swipemetal provides a 15-day warranty from the delivery date covering defects in materials or workmanship related to the customisation. This warranty includes:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Functionality issues (e.g. chip, NFC, or magnetic strip failure)

Exclusions from Warranty
The following issues are not covered under this warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage (e.g. scratches or minor dents)

  • Damage caused by misuse or improper care

  • Functional issues due to unauthorised alterations or repairs

How to Make a Warranty Claim
To file a claim, contact us within 30 days at contact@metalcard.com with proof of purchase and details of the issue. We may request return of the product for inspection before processing a replacement or repair.


3. Returns Procedure

To return a faulty or incorrect product:

  1. Email contact@metalcard.com within 14 days of receiving your item.

  2. Include clear photos and a description of the issue.

  3. If approved, we’ll provide a prepaid return label.

  4. Once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue a refund or replacement within 14 days.

For non-faulty items (if accepted at our discretion), return shipping will be at your own cost and must be via a tracked method.


4. Swipeinsure Coverage

Non-Refundable Service
Swipeinsure, our optional insurance add-on for your customised card, is non-refundable once purchased.

Coverage Terms
Swipeinsure coverage is governed by its own Terms & Conditions, available on our website. Please review them carefully before purchase.


5. Your Legal Consumer Rights

This policy does not override your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to receive products that are:

  • As described

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for their intended purpose

If a fault develops within 6 months of receipt (outside the 30-day warranty), you may still be eligible for a repair, replacement, or partial refund depending on the issue and timing.


6. Additional Product Categories

As Swipemetal expands its offerings, new product types will fall under this policy unless otherwise specified. We will clearly state if a particular item is subject to a different set of return or warranty conditions.


7. Limitations & Exceptions

  • Wear & Tear: General signs of use or ageing are not covered.

  • Misuse: Damage from mishandling, negligence, or unauthorised repair is not covered.

  • External Events: Swipemetal is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, postal strikes, or pandemics).
